Inter-player Variability Within the Same Positional Status in High-level Men's Volleyball

In sports, there may be multiple players for the same positional status (e.g., in volleyball, are two outside hitters, one near setter and other away from setter), relevant differences within status. We analyzed inter-player variability high-level men’s through Social Network Analysis (through Gephi© 0.9.2 software). Attack actions of hitters (OHN) (OHA) setters were ten matches 2019 Volleyball Nations League Finals (278 plays). Two Eigenvector Centrality networks created. Results: (a) side-out under non-ideal setting conditions, OHNs preferred strong attack while OHAs alternated between tip; (b) after a prior action, attacked via exploration block (c) consecutive errors, play more opponent’s error; (d) previous defense attack; (e) transition, solicited conditions ideal conditions.
